Who should NOT use Cryotherapy?

People who have the following conditions should NOT receive cryotherapy sessions:

  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure 
  • Prior heart attack
  • Unstable chest pain 
  • Disease of blood vessels 
  • History of blood clots
  • Uncontrolled seizure disorder
  • Cold allergy 
  • Open sores
  • Nerve pain in feet or legs 
  • Pregnancy 
  • Reynaud’s disease
  • Conditions or disease with increased sensitivity to cold

**You may have other conditions that make whole body cryotherapy inappropriate. Consult with your doctor or medical advisor if you have questions as to whether whole body cryotherapy is right for you.

Can I work out immediately before or after my session?

Yes. In fact, it is recommended. If you workout before your session, you can expect greater recovery due to the inflammation reduction. If you work-out after your session, you can expect a higher pain tolerance, more energy and greater flexibility.

How often should I use the cryosauna?

For optimum results, 2-3 times a week. It is safe for you to do two sessions a day but it is only recommended for those in heavy training or rehab.

What do I wear in the cryosauna?

We will supply dry cotton socks, gloves, slippers and a robe for your comfort getting into and out of the Cryosauna.  Men must wear underwear it is optional for women. No jewelry should be worn into the cryochamber.

How do I prepare for a session?

Be sure your skin is completely dry including lotions. It is not recommended that you have a session if you have shaved below the neck within the past 24hrs.
